How much does a desert excursion in Morocco cost?
Our private tours start at €85 per person for 2 days from Fes to Merzouga and €90 for 2 days from Marrakech to Zagora; 3-day tours start at €150 and 4-day tours at €200. In Merzouga, a night in a desert camp starts at €20, a camel trek with a night in camp at €35, a 4×4 trip at €30, a quad tour at €50 and a buggy tour at €65 per person.
What is included in the price of desert tours?
Private transport with a driver, accommodation with breakfast and dinner, the camel trek and the night in a desert camp are usually included. Lunches, drinks, entrance tickets and tips are not. The full list is on each tour page.
Is Merzouga or Zagora the better desert?
Zagora is closer to Marrakech and ideal if you only have 2 days, but its dunes are low. Merzouga, with the tall Erg Chebbi dunes, is the most spectacular desert; you need at least 3 days from Marrakech or 2 from Fes.
When is the best time for a desert tour?
Spring (March–May) and autumn (September–November) bring warm days and pleasant nights. Summer days are very hot, while winter nights in the desert are cold, although the camps provide heavy blankets.
